Rise Up Animation opens the door for me to network, get inspired, and to celebrate everyone who has the passion of animation! It’s a really cool way of getting to know other artists in both mentor and mentee spotlights and it’s awesome to be part of a community that wants one another to succeed! 🙂
Rise Up Animation to me means opportunity and faith in myself. I never believed before that I could do something as creative as storyboarding for my career, but with the panels, mentors, and other work done by Rise Up, I’m starting to have a little more faith.
Rise Up Animation to me was a light at a low point, a hundred rejections piling up and a feeling within me that I was not worthy of my dream or this industry. Rise Up Animation changed all that and I’m a better person and artist because of them.
To me, Rise Up Animation has meant connection and support. Rise Up gave me the motivation and strength to not only keep going with my art, but to also focus on my mental health despite all the negativity around me.
Rise Up animation means a foundation, family, and support in animation. This foundation lifts you up by providing opportunities to step into the animation industry.
I simply enjoyed and loved the panels provided by RUA. I learned so much from the mentors and the guest speakers.
Being able to have a voice and see other people of different ethnicities have a voice in the animation field is inspiring and helps us develop into future animators and filmmakers.
Rise Up Animation is such an inclusive community and given us a voice to connect and create wonderful art from all around the world! This community demonstrates that creativity doesn’t just have one look or story.
They lit a fire in me when I felt I was too small to make it in the animation industry. They gave me paths and directions like they believe I would make it some day.
Rise Up Animation gave me the chance to reignite my dreams of becoming a feature film animator. Without the encouragement and guidance of my mentor, I never could’ve imagined myself being friendly with CG animation today!
