Rise Up Animation is a movement. This program has given me a chance to have a voice in the animation industry with tools to move forward and tell my own story.

RUA is like a treasure chest to me! It is filled with opportunities that I would never know about otherwise, and as a student trying to get into the animation industry, I am so grateful for it.

Rise Up Animation brought the global artistic community altogether and I can’t be grateful enough to be a part of this amazing family. It helped me to grow as an artist and provided a platform to get advice from the talented artists that we all admire and look up to. Thank you Rise Up Animation.

The strive for diversity and inclusivity is always welcome and great to see. The mentor/mentee program has been an amazing opportunity for younger artists to get direct communication and feedback from active industry professionals.

To me, Rise Up is coming together to support and inspire fellow creatives and to create a safe and humbling experience to get them started in the industry. It is a platform that recognizes that art and artists come from everywhere and advocates that our ambitions are not limited to our borders.

It has played really a big role, in gauging myself in an international context- in terms of where I am in my skills and creativity as well as how people around my age are faring in terms of achievements. A really amazing memory I have with RUA is the awesome portfolio review session from someone as cool and as experienced as Christopher Cordingley of Disney. It was really a dream come true early. He even kept his promise to be sure to review my work in future and gave a feedback much better than my existing faculties!

Rise Up Animation has been a friend, mentor, and guide to navigate through the animation world that would have been otherwise puzzling for those who are not involved yet. It’s a community of awesome people who love what they do and want the best for each other.

Rise up Animation changed my perspective in the best way possible. The community, online, gave me the strength to push for my dreams and ask for help even in my darkest times during the pandemic.

RUA gives me hope that I can break into the industry one day. I feel connected being able to speak to so many professional artist, and hearing there personal feedback.

RUA definitely gave me the morale boost I needed. Jenessa was such a sweetheart and gave me some fantastic direction on what needed to be done.
