RUA was the first time I was able to connect with a community just as interested in animation as I was. It helped push me to further pursue my love of animation and try new things.

Rise Up Animation have given amazing opportunity, knowledge and support to young artists. I have met a lot of new artists friends who are on the same journey as me. I also meet industry professional who dedicate their busy times and works so hard to help young artists strive to break into the industry. It really shows how selfless people are to dedicate their time and knowledge to help another stranger from across the globes.

RUA was a really great opportunity for encouraging myself to follow my dreams and that it doesn’t matter from where you are – you can always become what you want.

It’s a massive community of dedicated people wanting to grow and learn. I’ve had incredible feedback from other animators and as a result I’ve learned so much and am really grateful!

The community of RUA and its founders have been such an important part of my progression both as a person and as a creative. I know I wouldn’t be where I am in my confidence, skill, or knowledge of the animation industry without this organization existing– and for that, I will be forever grateful.

RUA has been a beacon of hope for me during this bleak year! I’ve learned SO much about the animation industry and how to break in. Living halfway across the world in India, this information wasn’t readily available to me before, and I’m so glad RUA has helped make the industry so transparent! To me, Rise Up Animation means HOPE. The hope that despite being a small creative, from a small program, from a small island, having a place in the global Animation industry is still possible.

Rise Up Animation is such a supportive organization that has helped me so much during this pandemic, in so many ways. Not only do they have amazing mentorship opportunities and events, but they cultivate a rich community that provides an immense wealth of advice, knowledge, and resources that are truly invaluable!

Rise Up Animation was such a great experience talking with mentors who really cared for my success. The time and feedback I received for each portfolio review made me more inspired to continue creating my own stories and I’ll be forever grateful Rise Up exists to help so many of people of color like this.

Rise Up Animation gives you the resources to actualize and learn how you can pursue your dreams in the entertainment industry! It’s an extremely valuable resource that I recommend to all students, especially students of color!
